Spring Forward
The Concierge Edit
Longer evenings, thoughtful gatherings, and inspired travel notes.

March brings a subtle shift with a little more light, a little more momentum, and a calendar that begins to fill quickly. As wisteria cascades, poppies brighten the hillsides, and roses begin blooming across town, spring feels unmistakably underway.
March Highlights & Upcoming Events
đšđ»âđł Bacara Signature Chef Series
Friday-Sunday, March 6â8 at The Ritz-Carlton Bacara
The Ritz-Carlton Bacara debuts its new Bacara Signature Chef Series with a three-day culinary weekend featuring Michelin-starred Chef Miguel Navarro of Es Fum at The St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort.
In collaboration with Executive Chef Roberto Riveros Leyton, the weekend blends Navarroâs refined Mediterranean style with coastal California ingredients. Events include a sunset welcome reception on the âOâ Bar Terrace, a five-course signature dinner at Lulio, and an ocean-view Mediterranean brunch with live music.
đ· Wine Tasting & Stargazing in the Vineyard
Saturday, March 14 at Kessler Haak Vineyard 7pm-10pm
Spend the evening under some of Californiaâs darkest skies at Kessler Haak Vineyard enjoying estate wines alongside winemaker Dan Kessler, gourmet tacos from Rickyâs Famous Tacos 805, and expert-led stargazing with premium telescopes.
đ St. Patrick's Day
Tuesday, March 17 at San Ysidro Ranch
For those wanting to indulge their inner shamrock, the P&A Speakeasy will be serving elevated Irish whiskey-focused cocktails alongside traditional Irish stew with soda bread.
**And for those wanting to avoid the 21 year old crowd of wishful Irish, it's worth noting the lower State Street bar crawl will begin in the afternoon on Saturday, March 14. Plan accordingly.

đ„ Entertaining & Hosting Inspiration
đŹ Oscar Red Carpet Watch Party
Sunday, March 15
With red carpet arrivals mid-afternoon and the ceremony beginning at 4:00pm, this lends itself beautifully to a champagne brunch or midday delight.
Printed ballots, a âBest Dressedâ vote during the red carpet, and a signature cocktail inspired by a nominated film are easy ways to elevate the experience without overcomplicating it.
đ March Madness
Tuesday, March 17 through Monday, April 6
Tournament play begins March 17 (menâs) and March 18 (womenâs). Whether youâre hosting a full bracket pool or simply gathering friends for key games, March offers an easy reason to entertain.
Elevated comfort food, a well-stocked bar, and a bit of friendly competition go a long way.
𧳠Travel Desk: Spring Break & Summer Planning
Spring Break is on the horizon.
For some, that means one final ski weekend before winter fully fades. For others, this last week of 80 degrees in Santa Barbara has kicked off the Summer island vibes.
This year, my family is taking a 'Spring Break' with an adventure to the jungle of Belize to celebrate my parentsâ 50th wedding anniversary. Curious where is worth of such a milestone? We're staying in the villas of Chaa Creek đ, a refined jungle lodge that blends luxury with immersive nature in a way that feels 'wildly civilized'. Don't worry, the Wi-Fi is fully civilized!
As March unfolds, conversations naturally begin to turn toward summer plans. Whether youâre returning to familiar favorites in London or Paris, or new adventures in the Maasai Mara, maybe drifting the Nile in private dahabiya, this is the ideal moment to begin shaping those plans thoughtfully.
The best trips are the ones you didn't stress over planning.
